Critical listening rooms have become an essential tool for engineers in the Automotive Systems Division of Bose Corporation. Bud MacLellan, Bose Automotive Engineering Support Group Manager, provided insight into what these rooms are, how they are used and how they help take the performance of our automotive systems to a higher level.

He addressed specific Bose technologies such as Active Sound Management that can add value by helping car makers improve sound characteristics, vehicle dynamics and fuel efficiency. He also spoke about non-entertainment features including Bose Aware signal steering which can add a new dimension to driver awareness with precise placement of vehicle sound signals and warnings.
